Dr. David Reid is a board certified plastic surgeon and a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Reid received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina. He completed a surgery internship and his general surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Later, he completed a residency in plastic surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He has published numerous professional articles on reconstructive surgery and related topics.
Retired from the U.S. Navy, Dr. Reid has been in private practice since 1995. Earlier in his career, he served as an assistant professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School and the Department of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. In addition to 12 years on active duty, Dr. Reid served an additional 10 years in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
A native of North Carolina, Dr. Reid completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He and his wife, Kathleen, are parents of three children.
